Mission 02: From Kazordoon With Love Editar sección

Go to Kazordoon and walk to the Dwarf Mines to the west. Cross the two rivers and find NPC Melfar. He walks on the surface near the mine west of the storehouse and Royal Mailbox. Use your Flask with Beaver Bait on the 3 trees(Trees will be marked on your map), in any order.

  • Tree 1: You have marked the tree but its former inhabitant has stolen your bait! Get it, before it runs away! Kill the Thieving Squirrel.
  • Tree 2: You have marked the tree but it seems someone marked it already! He is not happy with your actions and he brought friends! (1 War Wolf and 4 Wolves will spawn.)
  • Tree 3: You have marked the tree but also angered the squirrel family who lived on it! (4 Enraged Squirrels will spawn).

Mission 03: Strangers in the Night Editar sección

You need to find the tribe which lives in the mountains. Walk down the mountain almost like you did in Mission 01, and directly north after you levitate (or, if you're lucky enough, use parcels to walk) down. The vines are pictured below. There lives the tribe, most of its NPCs talk a weird language, you need to find their leader Lazaran, who speaks very bad English. Ask him for a mission, then for peace and he will grant it.

Archivo:The New Frontier Quest Mission 03 Strangers in the Night.jpg

After you talked with Lazaran and come back to Ongulf, you will see Farmine has reached Stage 2 of its development. Pompan will trade in normal Equipment now, Esrik will not trade yet, with Prezil nothing changes either.

Mission 04: The Mine Is Mine Editar sección

Go to the left lever near a Mysterious Machine and go up to the tunnel. Kill the boss, Shard of Corruption.

Mission 05: Getting Things Busy Editar sección

This mission consists of getting support from 6 people around Tibia. You need to say farmine and then one of the following keywords (depending on the person):

  • Flatter
  • Threaten
  • Impress
  • Bluff
  • Reason
  • Plea

These words may be different for every person.

If you do not ask them the correct word you will have to appease them with something to get another chance. You can be unlucky and they still refuse appeasement even though you say the correct word. Just go back to Black Bert, buy the bribes, and return to the NPCs and speak to them again. It is completely random whenever it will work. Saying the same word several times may have different effects.

NOTE: Having done The Thieves Guild Quest is good for this mission, in case you say the wrong keyword (and the NPC gets mad at you) you can buy something from Black Bert to continue the negotiation.

Support of the Edron academy Editar sección

Talk to Wyrdin in the Ivory Towers. If you fail to convince him first time you need to buy and give him an Almanach of Magic to continue.

First time use the words "plea", "bluff" or "flatter". 33.3 percent chance of getting it right.

If wrong use the word "impress" or "flatter".

Support of the inventor Telas Editar sección

First time use the words "reason" or "flatter". 50 percent chance of getting it right.

If wrong use the word "plea".

Support of the Thaian king Editar sección

Talk to King Tibianus in Thais. If you fail to convince him first time you need to buy and give him a Flask of Crown Polisher to continue.

Mission 06: Days Of Doom Editar sección

Go to NPC Curos, leader of the Orcs, in the middle of the Zao Steppe in the north-east area of an Orc camp (there are only weak Orcs here). Ask for a mission and accept it. You now have to survive 2 minutes with the Mooh'Tah Master in a small Arena. You will find the teleport entrance up some stairs only a short distance away from Curos to the south-west (here). Enter to the teleport when you are ready to face the Mooh'Tah Master. You can just run around in this small arena for the duration of the 2 minutes or you can just block, whichever you prefer. Just avoid the Mooh'Tah Master's energy beam (by staying diagonal to him) and you will be fine. After the 2 minutes is up you will be teleported to a small spot below/outside. Now go back to NPC Curos and tell him you have completed the mission.

Archivo:The New Frontier Quest Mission 06 Days Of Doom.jpg

  • Once you have completed this mission, you have access to the Bank in Farmine.

Mission 07: Messengers Of Peace Editar sección

After making peace with the Cavemen and the Orcs for Ongulf, you now have to contact the Lizards, the real rulers of Zao. After accepting the mission from Ongulf, go to the Dragonblaze Peaks and find a rope-hole (here) where you have to go up and follow the way around the mountain (there is only one way). You will eventually go down and meet some High Class Lizards. Follow the way round (see 2nd image below) and go down some stairs to another level with more High Class Lizards until reaching a quest door. Enter the room behind the door and you will be teleported into a small prison.

  • There is more than one quest door in the Lizard area but you will only be able to open one of them, which is the correct door for your mission.
  • In the room west of the quest door (see 3rd image below) is a chest which contains a Tome of Knowledge.

Archivo:DP ropehole.jpg Archivo:Tome2 2.png Archivo:Tome3 3.png

Mission 08: An Offer You Can't Refuse Editar sección

  • There is a note, under the bed, in the top north-west corner of the room. (you can see it sticking out a little). Use the bed to get the note and then use it and you will read that there is an exit to the north. Click on the dragon art on in the middle of the north wall and you will appear on the other side.

Archivo:The New Frontier Quest Mission 07 Messengers Of Peace.jpg

  • Head north and speak with NPC Ztiss the Lizard leader, and then exit through the teleport in the top left. You will appear at a pair of teleports in the north of Zao Steppe. These teleports can take you to Muggy Plains. To the north-east of these teleports in Muggy Plains is a boat that can take you to Chazorai, (the "Isle of Strife") where the Arena is located. You do not have to fight in the Arena right now, you can return later.
  • Once you have completed this mission, you have access to the shops in Farmine.
  • NPC Cael (just north of Ongulf) now accepts 6 Tomes of Knowledge from you.

Mission 09: Mortal Combat Editar sección

Go to the teleporter in the north of Zao Steppe and walk into it to get to Muggy Plains. Once there, head a little north-east, following the shore-line, and you will find a ferry/boat (here). Ask NPC Zurak for passage to the Isle of Strife, where you will have to follow a way up several stairs and fight quite some number of High Class Lizards (among which some annoying Lizard Dragon Priests and even some Draken Warmasters) to reach the entrance of the Arena at the top of the mountain. There is a chest to the left of the stairs as you go down to meet the arena NPC Chrak. Don't forget to collect the Tome of Knowledge from this chest. Then go east to speak to the NPC Chrak to fight in the Chazorai Arena. You have to go into the Arena with another player, because 2 players are needed, at the same time, to enter. Choose your companion wisely!

Note: To complete this mission successfully you will need a strong team and either bring some friends who will help you to reach the arena without wasting too much of your battle supplies or bring some extra pots! Of course, only 2 players can go, so it is reccomended you use either a Knight and Sorcerer, Druid or Paladin team, or just 2 Paladins can do it together. Another possibility is Knight and Paladin. If you use a Knight and Druid team (Most reccomended), the Druid should sio and use Sudden Death runes as the Knight spams Challenge. The mage should look at using 180 charges of Sudden Death, with 160 Great Mana Potions. 2 Knights could do this as an Exori Gran team but they would use lots of Great Health Potions and Mana Potions. As a level 100 Knight you can easily block this quest as long as the shooter is capable of killing the Creatures in time. The main problem encountered is timing, a lot of people die through lack of damage per second, and end up with 3 or maybe even 4 of the last boss monsters attacking them at once, which is a very risky situation no matter what level you are. 2 Sorcerers could do this using Hell's Core with relative ease, of course using Sudden Death runes whilst recharging mana. This is the fastest but most dangerous method as there is noone to take the damage and some creatures are very fast.

You will have to fight 13 Boss monsters, in waves of 2 at a time. First you will have to fight Baron Brute and The Axeorcist, two strong Orcs. Then you will have to fight Menace and Fatality, two strong Lizards. After them, you will have to fight Incineron and Coldheart, which represent the elements of fire and ice. Next are Dreadwing and Doomhowl, two strong Mammals. Then you will fight Haunter and The Dreadorian, two strong Demons. The last pack of two are Rocko and Tremorak, representing the elements of stone and earth and after short time last boss, Tirecz will spawn. Pay high attention that you have few minutes time to kill each wave of bosses and if you are not fast enough, next wave of 2 bosses will spawn even if earlier bosses are still alive! When you have defeated Tirecz, you will be teleported to the reward room and the following message will appear:

You have won! As new champion take the ancient armor as reward before you leave.

500px

Don't forget to report your victory to the NPC Chrak! If you don't report back, you can't say "mission" to NPC Ongulf to complete the quest.

Mission 10: New Horizons Editar sección

Go back to Farmine and talk to Ongulf about your mission. You will recieve 8000 experience points.

Enjoy your new outfit!

Transcripts Editar sección

Mission 1 Editar sección

Player: hi
Gurbasch: Well, you might be just the hero they need there. To tell you the truth, some of our most reliable ore mines have started to run low. ...
Gurbasch: This is why we developed new steamship technologies to be able to further explore and map the great subterraneous rivers. Our brothers have established a base on a continent far, far away. ...
Gurbasch: We call that the far, far away base. But since it will hopefully become a flourishing mine one day, most of us started to call it Farmine. The dwarfs there could really use some help right now. ...
Gurbasch: Would you like to go to Farmine for 200 gold?
Player: yes

Player: hi
Ongulf: Hello, Player. You've come at a good time for our project.
Player: mission
Ongulf: Listen, I can handle the organisation down here and my boys will handle the construction of the base fine enough. Actually, all you do down here is to stand in the workers' way. ...
Ongulf: But there might be something for you to do outside the base. We need to learn more about the land up there. Take the lift and do some exploring. Find a passage leading out of the mountains. ...
Ongulf: Do not explore any further though. You never know whom you might be messing with.
Player: bye

Player: hi
Ongulf: Hello, Player. You've come at a good time for our project.
Player: mission
Ongulf: Excellent. Although we have no idea what awaits us in this foreign land, it is always good to know something more about our surroundings.

Mission 2 Editar sección

Player: mission
Ongulf: Things are running fine so far. Actually so fine that we are short of supplies and men. I'd send a letter home but I guess sending you to get some assistance gives the whole affair a bit more urgency. ...
Ongulf: So please travel back to Kazordoon. In the western mines outside of The Big Old One, you'll find Melfar of the imperial mining guild. Ask him to send some more miners and wood. When you return, I might have some more interesting missions for you.
Player: bye
Ongulf: Bye.

Player: hi
Melfar: Just great, another disturbance. Just what I need.
Player: mission
Melfar: Ha! Men and wood you say? Well, I might be able to relocate some of our miners to the base. Acquiring wood is an entirely different matter though. ...
Melfar: I can't spare any men for woodcutting right now but I have an unusual idea that might help. ...
Melfar: As you might know, this area is troubled by giant beavers. Once a year, the miners decide to have some fun, so they lure the beavers and jump on them to have some sort of rodeo. ...
Melfar: However, I happen to have some beaver bait left from the last year's competition. ...
Melfar: If you place it on trees on some strategic locations, we could let the beavers do the work and later on, I'll send men to get the fallen trees. ...
Melfar: Does this sound like something you can handle?
Player: yes
Melfar: So take this beaver bait. It will work best on dwarf trees. I'll mark the three trees on your map. Here .. here .. and here! So now mark those trees with the beaver bait. ...
Melfar: If you're unlucky enough to meet one of the giant beavers, try to stay calm. Don't do any hectic moves, don't yell, don't draw any weapon, and if you should carry anything wooden on you, throw it away as far as you can.
Player: bye
Melfar: Good bye.

Player: hi
Melfar: Just great, another disturbance. Just what I need.
Player: mission
Melfar: Yes, I can hear them even from here. It has to be a legion of beavers! I'll send the men to get the wood as soon as their gnawing frenzy has settled! You can report to Ongulf that men and wood will be on their way!
Player: bye
Melfar: Good bye.

Player: hi
Ongulf: Hello, Player. You've come at a good time for our project.
Player: mission
Ongulf: That's good news for sure. It will give our operation a new impulse. However, only if there is not some unexpected trouble ahead. Well, we'll talk about that when we discuss your next mission.

Mission 3 Editar sección

Player: mission
Ongulf: Our guards reported some nightly visitors. They chased them through the mountains but lost them when the fugitives climbed up some vines. ...
Ongulf: It could easily be some trap and I'm somewhat reluctant to send you there, but we can't allow some invisible aggressor to spy on us and maybe to prepare an attack. ...
Ongulf: Find these vines in this mountain, climb up there and find out who is spying on us! If they mean harm, get rid of them if possible. ...
Ongulf: If they are too powerful, just retreat and we will have to re-evaluate the situation. If they are harmless, all the better.
Player: bye
Ongulf: Bye.

Player: hi
Lazaran: Me greet.
Player: mission
Lazaran: Me people wanting peace. No war with others. No war with little men. We few. We weak. Need help. We not wanting make war. No hurt.
Player: bye

Player: hi
Ongulf: Hello.
Player: mission
Ongulf: Primitive humans you say? These are most startling news, that's for sure. Well, I guess I'll send some victuals we can spare as a sign of our good will. ...
Ongulf: However, our miners encountered another problem in the meantime. I'm afraid this will be your next mission.

Mission 4 Editar sección

Player: mission
Ongulf: It seems things went from bad to worse! First we had some problems with the mine shafts we were building, and now that we found some precious veins in one of the new mines, and it happens to be the holiday resort of some hostile stone creatures! ...
Ongulf: Nothing we dwarfs couldn't handle alone, but I rather thought this could be something interesting for an adventurer like you. ...
Ongulf: So I reserved you the privilege to slay the leader! Use the mining lift to reach mine A07. The more stone creatures you kill, the better. Your mission, however, is to slay their leader, most likely some special stone beast.
Player: bye
Ongulf: Bye.

Player: hi
Ongulf: Hello.
Player: mission
Ongulf: Shortly after you killed that creature, the others crumbled to dust and stone. I hope this incident does not foreshadow similar problems in our mines. However, for now I have other things to take care of and you have other missions to accomplish.

Mission 5 Editar sección

Player: mission
Ongulf: Things are getting more and more complicated. You need to convince our friends that some intervention on their part is needed. ...
Ongulf: We've come a long way with our own resources, but now our resources are short and we need the others to step in. I want you to negotiate some more support from our partners. ...
Ongulf: You'll need all your diplomacy and influence. If you blow the negotiations, look for a guy called Black Bert in Thais. ...
Ongulf: He has access to all kind of odd items, and he might have just the right bribe to convince someone to continue negotiations. ...
Ongulf: It will not be as easy as it might sound. So watch your words and your manners and keep in mind whom you are talking to. ...
Ongulf: Different strategies might be necessary for different people. You may try to FLATTER, THREATEN, IMPRESS, BLUFF, PLEA or to REASON with them. You probably need some luck as well. ...
Ongulf: And now listen: We need more workers for the mines. The technomancers told us that a guy named Telas, who lives in Edron, copied the worker golem technology from Yalahar. Convince him to send us some of these golems. ...
Ongulf: Further, we have more ore and end products than we can use right now. So we need someone to buy all the surplus. Convince Leeland Slim in Venore that the local traders step in as resellers. ...
Ongulf: Another issue at hand is our lack of drilling worms. That should not be a big problem though. Just talk to the worm tamer in Kazordoon. If he does not get mad about you, there should be no problem to get his support. ...
Ongulf: Also, now that our monetary resources are used up and not much cash is coming in, we need additional help to finance this venture. Thais has promised money in advance, but we haven't seen any of this support, yet. ...
Ongulf: Convince the Thaian king to send us the promised money right now. ...
Ongulf: Another problem we need to solve is the exploration of our surroundings. We need to know friends and enemies, and find out about the plants and beasts in the vicinity and learn what is edible and what is dangerous. ...
Ongulf: This is all stuff the Explorer Society is interested in. It should be easy to convince their representative in Port Hope. ...
Ongulf: At last, with the growing numbers of adventurers here, not only the security of the base is growing but also the demand for certain supplies. I'd like the Edron academy to open up a shop in the base. We need to keep you adventurers happy, don't we? ...
Ongulf: Well, I hope you understand the importance of this mission and got what it takes to fulfil it. So hurry up and get us the needed support.
Player: bye
Ongulf: Bye.

Note: If you get it wrong first time, the npc you talk to will say something different than below.

Support of the Edron academy Editar sección

Player: hi
Wyrdin: Hello, what brings you here?
Player: farmine
Wyrdin: I've heard some odd rumours about this new dwarven outpost. But tell me, what has the Edron academy to do with Farmine?
Player: plea
Wyrdin: Hm, you are right, we are at the forefront of knowledge and innovation. Our dwarven friends could learn much from one of our representatives.
or
Wyrdin: <sighs> Okay, sending some trader there won't hurt. I hope it will be worth the effort, though.

or
Wyrdin: Well, it can't be wrong to be there when new discoveries are made. Also, all those soldiers of fortune that might travel there could turn out to be a good source of income for a magic shop. ...Wyrdin: I think we'll send a representative. At least, for some time.

or
Player: bluff
Wyrdin: What do you mean the druids of Carlin could provide the service as well? They are incompetent imposters! I will not allow them to ruin our reputation! I'll send some trader with supplies right away!

or
Player: flatter
Wyrdin: Hm, you are right, we are at the forefront of knowledge and innovation. Our dwarven friends could learn much from one of our representatives.

If wrong word
Player: impress
Wyrdin: Well, the efforts of the dwarfs are impressive but we really have no interest in mining or mineralogy.
or
Player: flatter
Wyrdin: Hm, you are right, we are at the forefront of knowledge and innovation. Our dwarven friends could learn much from one of our representatives.

If it went wrong and you come back again:
Player: farmine
Wyrdin: I'm not sure if I'm in the mood to talk about that matter again. Or do you have anything that might change my mind?
Player: yes
Wyrdin: By Uman! That's one of the rare almanacs of Origus! I had no idea that you are a scholar yourself! And a generous one on top of it! ...
Wyrdin: This book must be worth some thousand crystal coins on the free market. Look at the signature here, it's Origus' very own! ...
Wyrdin: Of course we should talk again about your request. What do you say makes Farmine important?

Support of the explorer society Editar sección

Player: hi
Angus: Greetings, what can I do for you?
Player: farmine
Angus: Oh yes, an interesting topic. We had vivid discussions about this discovery. But what is it that you want?
Player: bluff
Angus: Those stories are just amazing! Men with faces on their stomach instead of heads you say? And hens that lay golden eggs? Whereas, most amazing is this fountain of youth you've mentioned! ...
Angus: I'll immediately send some of our most dedicated explorers to check those things out!

or
Player: impress
Angus: A whole new land is indeed very tempting. I can hardly imagine all the wonders that await us there. I doubt I could stop our explorers from going there even if I tried to.

If wrong word
Player: impress
Angus: For all I've heard, this is rather a barren isle than a whole new land. There are so many places to explore in this world, I won't send our best explorers on account of a rumour.

If it went wrong and you come back again:
Player: hi
Angus: Greetings, what can I do for you?
Player: farmine
Angus: You bring up this topic again? I don't think our talks make any sense unless you prove that you are a supporter of science. Do you have some proof for your dedication to science?
Player: yes
Angus: What a strange map. I wonder if any of our explorers recognises this coastal lines. However, you earned yourself another chance to convince me. Why do you think that Farmine would be interesting for us?

Support of the inventor Telas Editar sección

Player: hi
Telas: Hello!
Player: farmine
Telas: I have heard only little about this mine. I am a bit absorbed in my studies. But what does this mine have to do with me?
Player: reason
Telas: Well it sounds like a good idea to test my golems in some real environment. I think it is acceptable to send some of them to Farmine.
or
Player: flatter
Telas: Well, of course my worker golems are quite usefull and it might indeed be a good idea to see who they operate on realistic conditions. I will send some to farmine soon.

If it went wrong the first time:
Player: hi
Telas: Hello!
Player: farmine
Telas: You are starting this discussion again? Why should I listen to you this time, do you have anything to convince me to let you even try?
Player: yes
Telas: Oh how nice of you. I might have misjudged you. So let us return to this matter of worker golems. Do you have any better arguments this time?
Player: plea
Telas: Well, if the situation is that desperate I think it is possible to send some of the golems to help the poor dwarfs out of their misery.

Support of the thaian king Editar sección

Player: hello king tibianus
King Tibianus: I greet thee, my loyal subject Player.
Player: farmine
King Tibianus: Ah, I vaguely remember that our little allies were eager to build some base. So speak up, what do you want?
Player: Flatter
King Tibianus: Indeed, indeed. Without the help of Thais, our allies stand no chance! Well, I'll send some money to support their cause.

Support of the venorean traders Editar sección

Player: hi
Leeland: Greetings, Player!
Player: farmine
Leeland: Oh yes, that project the whole dwarven community is so excited about. I guess I already know why you are here, but speak up.
Player: Impress or plea
Leeland: Your pathetic whimpering amuses me. For this I grant you my assistance. But listen, one day I'll ask you to return this favour. From now on, you owe me one.

If it went wrong the first time:
Player: reason
Leeland: The idea of a promising market and new resources suits us quite well. I think it is reasonable to send some assistance.
Player: flatter
Leeland: Oh yes, that project the whole dwarven community is so excited about. I guess I already know why you are here, but speak up.

Player: hi
Humgolf: Player, good day .. or night, whatever.
Player: farmine
Humgolf: Bah, Farmine here, Farmine there. Is there nothing else than Farmine to talk about these days? Hrmpf, whatever. So what do you want?
Player: flatter
Humgolf: Yeah, of course they can't do without my worms. Mining and worms go hand in hand. Well, in the case of the worms it is only an imaginary hand of course. I'll send them some of my finest worms.

or
Player: threaten
Humgolf: Hah! Now you talk like a dwarf! That's the spirit! Of course you can have some of my worms. I'll send a bunch to Farmine as soon as possible.

If it went wrong the first time:
Player: hi
Humgolf: Player, good day .. or night, whatever.
Player: farmine
Humgolf: You are here to apologise? Have you got anything that would make me reconsider my decision never to talk to you again about this subject?
Player: yes
Humgolf: Uh, how cute! Look how he's snapping for my fingers! You really know how to make an old dwarf happy! Well, so let's try again. Why do you think I should send my precious worms to Farmine?

Player: hi
Ongulf: Hello.
Player: mission
Ongulf: You did an excellent job! With all this help Farmine will grow and prosper. While we put all available resources into building this base, I have another urgent mission for you.

Mission 06 Editar sección

Player: mission
Ongulf: Our new friends, those primitive humans sent us a warning. According to them, the 'green men' of the plains plan an attack on the mountains. ...
Ongulf: Considering their expected number, there is no chance for us to beat them off. We might be able to hold our ground for a while, but without access to the surface and under constant attacks, we might have to abandon the base. ...
Ongulf: Now, I'm aware that you cannot stop an entire army by yourself, but desperate situations call for desperate measures. I ask you to find the leaders of the orcs and - well do something. ...
Ongulf: Scare them, bribe them, give them another target or whatever. As futile as it may sound: Try to talk to their leaders in some way and make them stop their attack plans. This is our only hope.
Player: bye
Ongulf: Bye.

Player: hi
Curos: Be greeted blank skin.
Player: mission
Curos: You come here to ask us to spare your people? This land has no tolerance for the weak, we have it neither. If you want us to consider you as useful for us, you'll have to prove it in a test of strength and courage.
Player: prove
Curos: Strength and courage might gain you our respect. Time will tell if you have the honour to earn our trust.
Player: test
Curos: First we will test your strength and endurance. You'll have to face one of the most experienced Mooh'Tah masters. As you don't stand a chance to beat such an opponent, your test will be simply to survive. ...
Curos: Face him in a battle and survive for two minutes. If you do, we will be willing to assume that your are prepared for the life in these lands. Enter the ring of battle, close to my quarter. Return to me after you have passed this test.
Player: bye
Curos: Farewell for now!

Player: hi
Curos: Be greeted blank skin.
Player: mission
Curos: We have seen that you can fight and survive. Yet, it will also need cleverness and courage to survive in these lands. We might see later if you've got what it takes. ...
Curos: However, I stand to my word - our hordes will spare your insignificant piece of rock for now. Time will tell if you are worthy living next to us. ...
Curos: Still, it will take years until we might consider you as an ally, but this is a start at least.
Player: bye
Curos: Farewell for now!

Player: hi
Ongulf: Hello.
Player: mission
Ongulf: Oh my. What a mess you have gotten yourself into. Well, at least you made it out alive. Whatever the value of a minotaur's promise might be, I guess that is the best we can get. ...
Ongulf: Of course all those revelations lead to new problems and a new mission for you.

Mission 07 Editar sección
